Philosophy

Parents in a meeting

We genuinely believe every child can have positive experiences learning to read and write. Confidence and resilience grow when kids feel safe, seen, and supported by the adults around them. With genuine care, patient guidance, and kind support, every child can overcome challenges, gain confidence, and discover the joy of learning.

We partner with parents/guardians and schools to build a full picture of each child, including their strengths, their environment, and what's really getting in the way. When the adults in a child's life are working together, that support adds up to real, lasting progress.

Our Approach

From assessment to instruction to support at home, every part of the process is designed with your child in mind.

Using a structured and multi-sensory Orton-Gillingham approach, each in-person or online session is tailored to your child's needs and interests to build strong, lasting reading and writing K-12 skills. Along the way, we focus on nurturing confidence, self-advocacy, and a positive sense of themselves as a learner. We also offer writing specific or executive functioning support.

As part of your child's plan, we can also offer Level B in-depth assessment. When combined with school documentation, parent input, and other relevant information, we get a clear, well-rounded picture of your child's reading and writing strengths and areas for growth. It's a valuable starting point that leads to an insightful plan and a clear baseline to celebrate progress as your child moves forward.

Not sure how to support your child's literacy at home, or how to navigate an Individual Education Plan (IEP)? We can walk through strategies to help you collaborate with your child's school on goals and accommodations. If you like, your child can join too; we'll create a child-friendly version of their IEP so they can be part of and understand their own plan.
